I am very nervous and excited. Tomorrow my friend is going to navigate MapQuest directions to get to my house. Fingers crossed she doesn’t miss my house! I’ll hang something off the mail box so she’ll know it is my house I think ^^ And then on Sat. I’ll be able to done my Kurama wig! And yes my dears, photos and vids will become available!

Everyone writes stories about dogs being the loyal friend the one we cry over when they die, but some how cats are not as revered or as loved it seems. Sure, a few, but I haven’t seen many person best friend CAT stories honestly. I see more stories about people writing stories about kids hurting or killing kittens/cats than cat best friend stories…..now I must write cat best friend story….

Well…3 days till I get picked up and 4 days to the convention….I’m going to explode I’m so excited! I even bought a disposable camera and a new flashdrive to move my stuff to onto it to make room for all the vids and photos I’ll be taking on my computer. I wanted to buy 3 cameras but at the store I could get only one because they only had one so I’ll be sharing. It also be a chance to use my digital camera which I’ve not been able to use ever. It has been like 2 years since I’ve gotten it and I’ll be using it. I need a better SD card to put into it because it doesn’t match with my camera’s minimum required speed (so when I tried it recently, it runs slow as hell) but I think it’ll work regardless.

I’ve also got a huge pack of batteries to fill my cameras. I’m going to use my photo camera. I’m so excited to be trying it, the little hand held digital one. I can’t wait to play with it! So light weight! That and the video camera.

Don’t worry guys I’ll be filming and taking photos and I’ll be sharing them!

Just watched the Doctor Who season finalie. It was amazing! However, my tv SUCKS. By tv I actually mean my satelite provider (really…they suck!) and the show cut out for the first…4 minutes and then…right at the fucking end…right as things were forming and “turning around” (those who have seen it may understand what I’m talking about)…FROZE! Froze and the whole system crashed and restarted itself! Fuck my life. They better be doing a repeat so I can fucking re-record it (if this system will LET me…piece of shit) so that Mom can see the WHOLE thing and not have to deal with glitches or freezes.

But yeah, I’m going to restart watching Doctor Who when the new season comes out! This episode was so…unique and thought out and just flat out well written and acted that my mind was BLOWN. Must continue viewership. I haven’t watched Doctor Who all that much since….middle of Tennant’s run. I caught glimpses here and there of when Martha and Donna were there (saw all of Rose), and I watched the beginning of Matt Smith all the way to the “box” thing with Amy arc finished, but yeah, my Doctor Who viewership has lacked….time to go onto Netflix and watch it there ^^

I’m seriously wanting to get my first tattoo within a year. I’ve got several tat ideas and I’ve found a way to prevent serious pain whilst getting a tattoo (a special creme called Painless Tattoo which came recommended to me by a man with 12 tattoos) so I’m seriously really game. However, I’ve got to wait. I want to get a tat with my friend Rach, promised we’d get our first ones together when both of us are financially and physically ready. I’m ready. I want sleeves and socks, I’m game. I’ve even gotten a few designs in the mail from a talented artist (I’ll make a separate post for her once I know which blog she wants me to promote) and friend that I’m excited for. One of them is a Batman charm bracelet that when I opened the envelope my mom went “Oh that’s nice.” and the other images she went “Oh those are cool” (I’m paraphrasing but she really liked all the images, though she was confused by a cartoony image I had asked for, don’t think she understood the silliness). I know definitely I’m getting the Batman charm bracelet. The other two images I’m framing, but I’m not sure if I’m going to get them yet because simply of the size. The size, the complexity, the pain involved if that creme doesn’t work well, it is honestly a bit intimidating and I’m just unsure if I’m going to have other ideas or not yet, so I’m holding off on those ones.

The first tattoo I’m getting will be the Batman bracelet and then I’m getting a Kurama tattoo. I’m waiting for that design and can’t wait to get it.

Does anyone have tats? Can anyone tell me your thoughts/feelings/experiences? I’m curious. I LOVE tattoos and I am going to get at least one.

I got to play kick ball with a bunch of random strangers. I’ve NEVER got the chance to run home ever. I’ve always screwed up in some way. I’ve dropped the ball, couldn’t kick hard enough or run fast enough to be a good player. But today there were like…..40 people total playing the game. I came in and played for a 1/2 hour. The most sunlight I’ve ever had really in the past two years. My cheeks are a bit red, as are my arms, I was pretty sweaty in my Dr. Whooves and jeans, but it wasn’t terrible. It was worth it.

And as I ran the bases, once, twice, three times I got to home. I’ve never gotten to home before. That is going to be in my list of happy memories!

I wish I could wear this sometimes when I feel judgement coming...

Whenever someone says “let’s have a girl’s night out” or “let’s have a guys’ night out” it bothered me on some deeper level. I always feel…uncomfortable, at odds with these ideas. I love men and women, I love the men and women in my family, so why do I need a night dedicated to JUST women or JUST to men? I never really felt this urge to spend time with one or another sex, just to spend time with people I like regardless of sex/gender. Am I the only one who finds nights dedicated to male/females to be uncomfortable? It isn’t like I don’t have fun with one group or the other, I just like not assigning sex to whom I hang out with at any given time.

I have read all the articles and I have these requests:

• Stop talking about how my generation is pathetic because some of us live at home after college. The economy crashed because generations before us were greedy and irresponsible with money, not because we spent too much time as teenagers watching Internet porn. (Also, some millennials live at home after college because boomer parents are so fucking rich that kids don’t have any incentive to move into crappy apartments with 5 roommates when they can just stay at home and steal their dad’s beers and swim in their parents’ giant pools.)

• Stop only interviewing that one person who went to a fancy school and did not immediately get their dream job for these articles. Why not interview some people who aren’t living at home mostly cuz their parents’ house is nice, and who actually do present a strain to their entire family’s economic resources when they live at home? Now that’s hardship.

• Stop calling us materialistic. I work in marketing and what millennials want are sustainable products that they can feel not-evil buying. Their demands are actually making businesses change the way they operate.

• Stop worrying about when we will finally catch up. Yes we see having a McMansions as generally unattainable for our generation. But we don’t want them. That’s because we understand that America briefly created a period of unsustainable middle-class wealth by consuming resources that will now need to be shared with a growing global population. We don’t want America to continue hoarding it all cuz we can actually see what other countries think because of the Internet and it makes us feel horrible.

• Stop being upset that we believe in Christianity and American exceptionalism less than other generations did. We do not perceive blind patriotism and belief in God to be necessary traits for living a “moral” lifestyle. We will probably be more peaceful and less homophobic because of this.

• Stop saying that we all have ADD and other mental impairments because of the Internet. Yes it is an unprecedented technology but we know you are just jealous you didn’t get to spend your youth watching Downton Abbey on Netflix while Gchatting your friends and learning a marketable skill on a pirated version of Photoshop. Don’t lie.
