For those of you who may have not seen my previous post on this issue, I am in fact going to start my fanfiction.net account back up. I’ve decided my start date will be tomorrow. I am currently taking requests (granted, I cannot promise the promptness I will have in writing your requests, but I do promise they will be written). That being said, it is unfortunate but I am afraid I will be putting restrictions on what I will and will not be willing to write. Hopefully, even with the restrictions, you will still feel able to request from me. And, hopefully I’ll be able to edit my pages and put copies of the stories up here for you guys as well.

Fandoms I will Gravitate Towards Writing (If you are unsure about a fandom, please ask)

Supernatural (this one admittedly will take priority in my mind)

Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (throwing that one in there because)

Star Trek (Mainly The Next Generation as that is the one I’ve seen the majority)

MAYBE Sherlock Holmes (I’m not that clever)

Good Omens (though I will honestly only write stories with Aziraphale and/or Crowley, sorry)

This is to give you an idea of the fandoms I am more interested in, but as I said before, if you are unsure of one, ask and I’ll let you know.

Shipping

Now, I am a proud shipper. I’ve sailed the many seas of pairings in the vast ocean of the internet. I’m an open minded person, I ship M/M, M/F, M/M/M(M at most), F/F, OC/Character and so on and so forth. I would suggest asking me first about what I ship before making a request.

To give you some of my favorites though so you’re not completely shooting blanks:

Supernatural: Sabriel, Dabriel, Destiel, Sastiel, Calthazar, Balthazar/either Winchester, Crowley/Castiel (can’t remember ship name lol), Crobby, Wincestiel

Star Trek:Data/Tasha, Data/OFC or OMC, Data/Q …basically I really like Data. And Q! Love Q! I’ll ship Q with a number of people (never ever Worf just to get that out of the way) IF I feel it’s okay.

H2G2:Ford/Arthur Ford/OFC or OMC

Sherlock Holmes: Sherlock/Watson, Sherlock/Irene

Restrictions

Original post did not have this but I will let the first requester slide (you know who you are when you read the list ^^)

-Crack (I’m not a fan of characters in situations that are so completely removed from their characterization/reality)

-Saucy (I’m taking about full blown scenes, not just a little heavy petting/kissing which is okay in small doses.This is for multiple reasons, none of which am I going to explain lol)

-Cross Overs (quite frank, I enjoy cross overs sometimes, but I am not a big fan nor do I feel confident in my abilities to do something like that)

-No High School/College AUs (especially those of a romantic variety. I don’t want my adult characters turned into angsty, horny teenagers, they can do that as adults and not as cliched. College AUs aren’t so bad, but I prefer AUs to still be realistic echos of the original universes I am so drawn by)

-AUs (now, before you drop your jaws I have to explain…I am willing to write AUs, hell, most ships I’ve listed would require it, but they have to fit within the universe in which the original story arcs exist. Does that make sense?)

(I.E. Supernatural: Gabriel and Sam hook up, but they still have had to go through the apocalypse, and the leviathans are still real, all that stuff. Not, Sam is a law student who meets another college student and yada yada.)

-The Characters Aren’t Kids (period….I don’t like kids and I would never be able to write a realistic kid voice.There I said it!)

What I Am Inclined to Write (these are more of guidelines than actual rules and are quite flexible, so make sure to give it a shot)

-Romantic stories (don’t get on the high horse just yet with cries of double negatives! I am a fan of romantic story lines. I don’t mind them at all. I just want them to have some depth rather than lust alone to drive the story)

-Mild “situations” (Okay, I’m going to be frank, I don’t want to write any over blown physical love scenes. I have no problem with them, I just don’t want to be the supplier especially since I’m never sure who is actually going to be reading. So, kissing, a little touching to the extent of a PG-16 rating is mostly the realm I will fall into)

-Angst (I don’t like when my characters are sad, but it is admittedly easier to write a scene based in existing angst in the characters.)

-Requests (provided they fit with what my restrictions are of course)

What to Expect

Now, I’ve already explained everything else so here is where I will give you realistic expectations as to what I will be writing. I promise to do as many prompts as I can. I cannot, will not promise that I will be prompt, but I will ALWAYS let you know if I’ve received/accepted it. Tumblr eats my messages SO if I do not reply, that means the message wasn’t received, so please send again. I am also an amature writer. I’ve written most of my life sure, but I am still learning, still developing, so I will not promise that the stories will come out the way you want them, but I promise I will do my damn best to make them as good as I can. I can only promise that I will try, that I will do my best to make the characters sound like themselves, the worlds will fit them, and that the writing style will be pleasing for the majority of readers. I can’t promise I’ll succeed, but I will do my best.

Ben Elude said that he was going to address a certian pairing that the fans view in a certain way (paraphrasing) which is basically linked to Destiel…sorry to say this:

I wouldn’t get my hopes up. SPN has been primarily focused (when it comes to Sam and Dean) on heterosexuality. Yes, there are those inside jokes, the occasional show of homosexual characters and what not. But as much as I would love the addressing to be an admission of deeper romantic feelings of Cas and Dean towards one another, I don’t have hope that this will be how it would be addressed. I figure it would be addressed in a manor that would kind of cannon wise make the ship non…what’s the word? Valid I suppose. Yes, the ship is based in the fans perceptions and what not, but is drawn from subtle subtext in the show itself. I fear that this subtext will be addressed in such a way as to bring a cannon close to the ship. Or, perhaps they may continue to leave them open ended where it comes to Cas and Dean. The argument that Castiel technically is a genderless angel in the body of a man and therefore doesn’t care about male/female has been made, as well as that Dean loves the being that Cas is, not the body. But it would be nice (for me seeing as I don’t think they will make Dean have a cannon homosexual relationship with Castiel) is if they left it open like that have for so long. I love the theories of Dean’s bisexuality, or just his love for Cas, and all that stuff, drawn (as mentioned) from the cannon material.

Sorry this is so long and rambling…I just…I can’t get hopeful that the “resolving” will be a positive for the fans that enjoy this ship. *shrug* Take whatever you will from this. I apologize for the negativity that seeps from this post.

Even if I am correct in the end, those who enjoy will continue to ship regardless :)

Alright, so I’ve come up with a prompt that I think is pretty damn good if I do say so myself. And so, I’m posting it up here for you guys to read. If anyone wants to do if, fine, just send me a message letting me know you’ve taken it up because that would be pretty cool. And I’ve got one other request before I post the prompt, please don’t equate all emotional moments, or loving feelings as being a “chick thing”. In both the series and the fictions, it disturbs me to see this often used. You can say that they are uncomfortable displaying certain emotions but that they have them, without equating any kind of heavy emotions as being exclusively female. Thank you. Now the prompt:

You know when Dean and Cas first got to purgatory and the first think Cas did was leave Dean after telling him where they were. Dean looks up and Cas is gone? Well I think multiple views at that point in time could be taken. Focusing on Castiel’s obvious blind fear and then Dean’s wtf disbelief as well as a sense of abandonment coupled with fear of his own. After a few days they actually run into each other again. Something I would love to see is Castiel getting angry and explaining to Dean why if he wasn’t so un-trusting of him, gave him a chance, just like he’d done for him on so many occasions, they might’ve never had a problem in the first place with their relationship, and that Dean is just acting as a moral officer not understanding that Castiel did all of this not just to win a war, but to protect Sam and Dean from Heaven’s wrath. For certainly the remaining armies of Heaven under Raphael would’ve succeeded in busting the cage and freeing both Lucifer and Michael and wouldn’t have hesitated to grab both Sam and Dean and put the apocalypse back on track. And of course going over what Dean was feeling at the idea of Castiel opening up his world, to unforeseeable danger and how he was right about that.

And then they have to figure out the mechanics of their new reality. For example, do they need to sleep, eat, all of that kind of stuff (mostly of course it being Dean), and how are they going to work together. You can choose to make it romantic, you can make it saucy, I only ask that you don’t make it fluffy IF you end up using this prompt.

Now I normally don’t discuss my fandom habits but I’m just kind of blah. I’m trying to find fresh things to read/watch but it never seems that my go to sites are updated with things that I’m interested in :( Which is COMPLETE, well written, in character stories that have my pairings.

For example, if you’ve been reading some of my past posts you’ll know that I have been introduced to the wonderful world of Good Omens. That being said, how come I can’t find any consistent sites with Crowley/Aziraphale? What I mean is that I can’t find updated material (stories in particular) that I find interesting. Things that are longer stories that aren’t OOC or CRACK fics. Or if I find nice fics, they tend to just be short one, maybe two, chapters long.

Same goes with some of my other fandoms. I’m constantly looking for updated Sabriel, Dabriel(Debriel), Destiel, Sastiel, Balthazar/Winchester(not picky), Crowley/anyone of the main boys, etc. I’m not finding much that is updated, non-AU (I don’t mind AUs normally, but I like them to be flavored with cannon such as, the boys are still hunters, their lives still happened but with some variations).

I don’t know if this is making much sense given that I feel this is rambling projection. But I check the tags here and I don’t gain much really. When I type in the tags, the page will only go so far. It isn’t like I can explore ALL of the past posts made for any of these fandoms, tumblr stops uploading results after a while, only showing the most recent.

And I don’t own a livejournal, but doesn’t mean I haven’t popped over there. I can’t seem to figure out how that stupid thing works. I’ll type something in, bam gets some results (not what I usually am looking for which is strictly my chosen pairing for the night and fics) but not really much to keep me hunting. OR I won’t get anything back even though I know for a fact it exists.

So, can any of you lovely people let me know where I can find well written fics that isn’t ff.net, and/or let me know of tumblr rec lists or livejournals that I could actually find?

What is all this drama about a Destiel question? I mean, WHAT exactly was asked, to whom, and why is there a huge uproar about it regardless of personal feelings towards the ship or any other ship on the show (cannon or otherwise)?
